I forgot to mention earlier that I got a surprise in my email this morning. An old friend from high school found my email address on our high school's website and she sent me a quick note. I was so surprised to hear from her, glad to hear from her too! She got married in 2005 and is living in Parsippany. I haven't talked to her since graduation all those many years ago. She used to be an amazing bowler and actually had a hand in getting our school to start a bowling club (which ROCKED by the way!) She didn't say much else in the email, but I sent her a note back and hopefully we can keep in touch and perhaps meet up one day to catch up on things. It's exciting to hear from people that you haven't thought about in awhile. I'm curious though because she did tell me she's married and she included her new last name. My brother had a kid in his class with that last name and was really close friends. So I'm wondering if it's him or someone related to him that might now be married to Liesl. I guess I'll find out soon enough if she writes back.

It's still so darn hot in here! Blech. The poor puppies are hating the heat and haven't been up to any mischief. That's good I guess, but I hate seeing them so uncomfortable.

Ron's on the phone with his mom and before that he talked to his dad. He called them as soon as he walked in because it's his dad's birthday. Now he's been on the phone for over an hour! My oh my. Chatty family that one is!

I kind of want to see if Ron wants to go out to dinner tonight. I really don't want him turning the oven on at all. The diner sounds good to me. ;-) Last night we had sandwiches with coldcuts because it was so yucky and hot. It was quick and easy and then we had ice cream for dessert. That was yummy!
