YAY Twins!!! Hehehe. Although it's a bittersweet moment for me. They
beat the Red Sox, which makes me extremely happy but in doing so they
gave the Yankees their division. Eh... That's not such a great thing
but I guess it's better than the Twins losing. Rick is bouncing all
over this morning. He's too funny.

Last night was annoying at home. Our cable connection is still messed
up. The cable company keeps telling us that it's the modem but we
exchanged that for a new one and that's not helping. Ron thought it
might be the router, but he tried changing that and still no go. So I'm
thinking that there's something messed up in the cable itself. It's
annoying! I was online last night for twenty minutes and then couldn't
reconnect for an hour! Then it would connect for a few minutes and then
wouldn't for a long time. It's so frustrating. Each time I'd open
something, the connection would let me get there and then end a minute
later before I could do anything. Stupid thing!

Ron went driving around yesterday and applied at Wal-Mart. They're
putting a new one in down on Route 23. He said he was there for an hour
and a half talking to the morons that were handling the application
process. He said that they were as dumb as dirt and based on the
stories he was telling me, I'd believe it. He stopped at Staples and
Home Depot and was told that he had to apply online. Yeah that worked
out really well since our cable connection is F'ed up. So the only
place he applied was Wal-Mart yesterday. He had applied to Home Depot
online previously but he said he wanted to do it again for perhaps a
different department. Not that he'll have any luck applying when our
connection keeps going down. Someone is out to keep him from getting a
job, I think. Today he is planning to head in another direction to see
what he can find. Tomorrow he's going to be Dave & Steph's witness so
that they can get their marriage license. Fun stuff.

Saturday is the shower for Dave & Steph. They're having what's called a
"Jack & Jill shower". I'd never heard of that before but I guess it's
for both men and women. Should be a fun party. Although I have no clue
where the town is that the shower is going to be in. Thank heavens that
I have no class on Saturday. Woo hooo.

I'm very tired. I went to bed early last night because I was sleepy and
too annoyed to deal with the computer any longer. Once in bed, I could
not sleep. I was awake for at least an hour after going to bed and then
I woke up a dozen times throughout the night. Not fun.

It feels like it should be Friday. Lately all Thursdays have been
feeling like Fridays to me. Guess that's wishful thinking, eh?

Just another day.

Yesterday was a pretty sucky day. Work was boring and annoying. Class
was awful. Although I must say that class started out nicely when the
professor passed back last week's quiz and I saw that I got 100%. That
was lovely! However, she then passed out last night's quiz and I have
no idea what the heck that was all about. Every question I looked at, I
kept wondering "Was this in the readings?" I hope I was able to talk in
circles enough to confuse her into giving me a good grade. Ha-ha.
After the quiz we watched the rest of the movie from last week. It was
funny but I can't believe they never hit the Midwest and West Coast to
get examples of those accents. Last night's portion pretty much focused
on Boston and New York. Oh well, that was amusing anyway. Lecture was
pretty boring and I could barely keep myself awake.

The drive home was horrible. I got terribly, terribly lost. I was in
the middle of absofreakinglutely No-Where-Ville and had no idea how to
get out of there. Stupid me for following a sign that pointed to my
town. I should know that NJ is famous for putting one sign up and then
never putting another one, so you have no clue where you're going. I
bet that if I had taken that drive in the daytime it would have been
beautiful out there, but in the middle of the night... It's not so nice.
It was dark and that area has no street lights and no cross streets to
even try to figure out where I was. I got so frustrated. I eventually
(don't know how!) ended up coming out near the Wanaque reservoir!
Fortunately I sometimes go home from work by the roads over in that
direction. Once I saw the reservoir, I found the main road and managed
to get myself home. What a pain in the tushy that ride was. It was
after 10:30 by the time I got home. Lovely way to spend an anniversary,
isn't it? Oh well.

I am so tired today. By the time I got home last night, ate dinner and
relaxed a little, I didn't get to bed until after midnight. I hate
Tuesdays!

Ron didn't get around to applying to any other places yesterday. He
said he went out and drove around but didn't see any place that he
wanted to work. Today he's planning on heading down to another area to
see what's available.

We're very short staffed today. This should be interesting.

Rick's in a giddy mood today. He practically danced into the office.
He was going on and on about the Yankees and the Twins. He's all
willing to cheer for the Twins while they play the Red Sox, so we're
temporary allies. I told him not to expect me to reciprocate because I
will never cheer on the Yankees. Never. I'm just very excited about
the Twins being so close to being first in their division! Only half a
game behind Detroit at the moment. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I hope Detroit
slips up and I hope the Twins continue to kick butt! I really want them
to go all the way this year. I think it's only fair that they get a
chance after all these years of the same stupid teams going to the World
Series.
