Ooh. First I have to say THANK YOU to kristensarah for the virtual gift. I like looking at my user page and seeing that cap there. Woo hoo. It's cuter than the one that I'll be wearing on Tuesday. hehe.

At work today they threw me a graduation party! Wasn't that nice? Kim even made her famous (and it is famous around these parts!) carrot cake cupcakes. Mmmmmmmm. Heaven! I even had 4 to take home, which I begrudgingly shared with Ron. Well, we each had one and still have one each for tomorrow. Anyway, at the mini-party at work, my coworkers gave me a card with $60 in cash. I think I'm going to use that as my Atlantic City money. Also, my boss told me that on Tuesday instead of it being taken as a Vacation Day, he's giving it to me as a Permission Morale day, which means that I'm getting a free day off. Nice. Things related to school/education are always up to the discretion of the supervisor as to whether they give you an hour or two or a full day. So I was not expecting it and was just going to use a vacation day for graduation. I'll gladly take his nice offer.

On the way home, Ron and I hit Stop N Shop to look at a patio set they had there. We bought it. The patio set was an 8-piece set... Table, umbrella and 6 chairs. While we were looking at the table and chairs, we also saw a fire pit. Ron fell in love with it and I must say that I liked it too. So we bought that as well.

So... instead of cleaning the house this afternoon/evening, we spent the time putting the fire pit together. (It was the round fire pit itself and two benches). After that was all set up, we just had to start a fire going. Dave and Steph came over and we were talking and laughing for quite some time. Dave brought Ron a beer and me a glass of wine. When they went off to dinner, Ron fired up our grill and we had our first barbecue of the season. Cheeseburgers and macaroni salad. Mmm. Good stuff.

We never did get the patio set put together. Nor did we get any cleaning done. Hehe. So, tomorrow morning we will be getting up early to do just that before Ron has to go to work. Tomorrow my grandma gets in to New Jersey. Yay! I don't know if I'll see her tomorrow or if I'll just wait and see her Sunday with the rest of the family. I guess it'll depend on what my mom has planned. I'll probably end up going over there for a couple hours in the evening, I think. We'll see.

I'm so tired. I think it's an early to bed night for me. I've got a long vacation ahead of me. haha.
