Little Me
An hour ago I made a Creme Brulee Cheesecake. Mmmm. My mom and I had gotten these mix things from Gourmet Creations when we went to the Home & Garden show last month. I got a couple of their cheesecake mixes and a couple of their dip mixes. These cheesecake ones can also be used to make dip, mousse, cake icing, parfaits or bagel spreads. Originally I was just going to use it to make bagel spreads, but then the thought of a Creme Brulee Cheesecake just sounded so good. I picked up the pie crust and other ingredients today and so I finally made it. Now it needs to be kept in the refrigerator for a couple hours. So by the time Ron gets home from work it should be good to go. I want to make the bacon cheddar dip next to eat with potato chips. Mmm. I just hope the cheesecake comes out ok. So far it looks good and when I got to lick the bowl, it sure tasted great! It was quick and easy. Pretty much all I had to do was dissolve the mix in a tiny bit of hot water and then I added cream cheese and once that was smooth, then I added Cool Whip and kept it mixing until it was ready to pour into the pie crust. Voila. Not too shabby, eh? I just want to eat it all up right now ! hehe.

Looking at the website for Gourmet Creations, we got a better price on the mixes by buying them at the Home & Garden Expo. I'm still tempted to pick up a few of the other flavors. The other one I have here already for cheesecake is the White Chocolate Raspberry. I'm tempted to get the Pina Colada one. I remember tasting the Dreamsicle one at the expo and it was sooo good too. Tough choices! Let's wait and see how the first one goes over before I start ordering more. haha

I'm doing it!

I'm making Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies. Actually, the dough is all made and batch number 1 is in the oven as we speak... or rather, as I type. Hehe. Darn my stupid space key. It is getting worse. I've had to backspace and re-space a dozen times already. Grr. Anyway, as I was saying... Look ma, I'm baking! hehe. I don't know how these cookies will turn out, but at least I'm giving it the good ol' college try. haha.

Ok, let me go check my cookies...
