Woo hoo... it was a great mail day today. I got one of the $10 Applebee's gift cards that I've requested (MyPoints) and a $10 B&N gift card (also MyPoints). Plus I got a free FULL sized antiperspirant/deodorant. I think it was Secret Clinical or some such. I forget. I'm always requested freebies all over the place. It smells good though! Usually they send little sample sizes, but this was full sized. nice! I also got (not in the mail) another $3 deposited into my PayPal account from PineCone. yay. Love that. I think I got something else in the mail too, but now it slips my mind. Oh well. (ooh, just requested another $15 into my PayPal account from Lightspeed. yippee!)
I went to the post office earlier and then stopped by Rite Aid for a few things. Then I swung by McD's for an iced coffee. Mmm! When I got home I did my Wii Fit workout and now I'm relaxing. (I am down another couple pounds! Whoooooooooooo hooooooooooie!) I really do love my Wii Fit! Although I haven't done an hour's worth again since that one day that I made an hour. I keep doing 45-50 minutes and then just give up. Silly me. Ah well. I still think 45 minutes per day/5 days a week is good. Better than the 0 minutes per day that I was doing before I got my Fit. Eh? hehe.
Tomorrow is my 10th anniversary. Wow. Can't believe it's been ten years already! Where does time go? Ron wants to get his Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as his anniversary gift, but I couldn't leave it at just that. So I ordered a gift from The Popcorn Factory. He's always in the mood for snacking and this came with a big popcorn bowl and various flavors of popcorn. So I think he'll like that. I hope it gets delivered tomorrow. In case it doesn't, I also picked him up one of the Awesome Augers that he's been eying up lately. I don't know why he wants it, but he does. So now he'll have one. Silly man. I'm sure none of these gifts are very romantic, but I bet they'll be more than he gets me. Haha. I'll be lucky if I get a card. Oh well. I think we're going to go to Rockaway tomorrow to catch a movie at the big theater there. And then maybe grab dinner at the Olive Garden or something around that area. We'll see. We haven't really planned it out. Guess that's what happens after 10 years of marriage. haha.
Well, I think I shall take the dogs out. Ron'll be home in an hour or two... depending on what time he finally gets to leave work. Oh fun times for him. They almost scheduled him for tomorrow, but Ron stood tough and told them they could take that schedule and shove it up their nose! (Although I'm pretty sure he didn't say "nose". haha) So he has tomorrow off so we can enjoy the full day together. Woo hooo!
Oh I should go to bn.com and see what I want to spend my gift card on. More books! Yippeee! Hehe
I just applied online for a job in Minnesota. Not that any of the places there ever call me back, but it doesn't hurt to try. Last night Ron and I were watching "House Hunters" and one of the "Buy Me" type shows and both of these shows had couples that moved away from Minnesota to Chicago of all places and both were looking to go back "home". I got so excited and knew I had to watch... especially the "House Hunters" one because they were looking at homes in Minnesota. Of course they were looking at 1.2 million dollar homes, but still it was neat to see the houses. I kept teasing Ron about "see, they're smart. They're going back to Minnesota!" And when the realtor in MN was talking, I had to keep giggling at herlack of accent. hehe. It sooooooo makes me want to go home! I need to start applying to tons and tons of MN jobs and if one offers me a nice chunk of change, I'll just tell Ron "I'm going. Are you coming with me?" Ok, I don't know that I'd do that... but at least I could put it on the table and we could discuss it. He's just really attached to this stupid house for some reason and I hate it more and more each day. I think because I'm stuck here day in and day out and there's so much wrong with it. Oh well.
Oops, I was going to take the dogs out, wasn't I? Guess I best get going. Hehe

And yeah... it's just another ordinary, boring day. Just another dud of an anniversary. Not that I've ever had an un-dudlike anniversary. They're all usually pretty dull. Yet this time around Ron's closing and so I won't see him at all. Well, not unless I want to stay up until 4 a.m. Nah, me thinks not. Ah well. I'm tired of complaining about Ron's hours, but they get me so annoyed! At least I get to control the television remote control every night. haha. That's one way of looking on the bright side. tee hee.
Last night on my way home I heard the new BSB song. My only thought about it so far is "eh". It didn't strike me as anything special, but I have a feeling it's one of their songs that takes a few listenings before a gal can truly appreciate it. It's not that I didn't like it upon first hearing, but I wouldn't say that I loved it either. I was just happy to hear it played on the radio. It's a nice change from the same 4 songs that all the stations keep playing that drive me out of my mind. (Although I do love Pink's song and so they can keep playing that as often as they want! LOL)
Recently I completed a survey online for Women's Day magazine and last night I got notification that I was one of 6 winners! I won a book about cleaning up clutter! LOL Fitting, eh? I think the title was Organize It! : How To Unclutter Every Nook and Cranny In and Outside Your Home. I wonder if it'll help me at all. I have way too much clutter. I love free books! Tee hee. They said it'll ship to me soon, so who knows when it'll arrive. Should be an interesting, if not helpful, read.

My mom sent us money for our anniversary to go and do something. She knew that we didn't have money to splurge on fun stuff lately so she and my step-dad sent us $50. Our anniversary isn't until Tuesday but being that I'll be at work all day and at class all night, we figured we'd put the money to good use. So we went and got a $14 pizza and hit the drive-in ($20 for movie plus popcorn). Now we have $16 more to spend for our anniversary. Guess we can hit McD's tomorrow. Haha.
We went and saw "The Wicker Man" and "Crank". I love Nicholas Cage so I really wanted to see "The Wicker Man" even though I'd heard pretty blah to negative reviews of it. Overall I enjoyed the movie, but I did predict the ending. I wasn't thrilled with the ending, but maybe because I saw it coming. I think the plot could have been a little more intricate and intriguing. I'm glad I saw it, but won't plan on buying it on DVD or anything. As for "Crank", I have to say pretty much the same thing... I enjoyed the movie up 'til the end. I really like Jason Statham and so it was worth it just to see him. So all in all it was a fun night at the theater.
When we got home tonight we found a nice bottle of wine on our front steps with a note wishing us a happy anniversary from Dave and Steph. I think that's the sweetest thing ever! Have I mentioned lately how much I love my neighbors? Dave was over here earlier talking with us while we had Lucky outside running around in the yard. He had been taking a break from chopping wood and so when he saw Ron outside it was a good excuse to take a breather. Then I heard them talking so I headed out and we all chit-chatted for awhile.
I am beat. I have been up since 6:00 and can feel every minute of the day wearing on me. I should go to sleep but I wanted to check in first and see what's going on. I forgot to mention earlier when I was talking about my "Field Biology" class that I really have some cool classmates. There are some dorks, but for the most part it's a nice bunch of folks. Everyone is friendly and talks to one another and jokes around during breaks. It's not like certain people group up and ignore everyone else. I've seen that happen in many classes. Although there are a few girls that seem to be "too good" to talk to the rest of us, but that's just fine with me.
I had something else that I wanted to mention but now I forgot what it was. Guess it couldn't have been too important, eh?
And don't mind me if any of this entry is lacking in comprehension or proper grammar. I'm way too tired to read it over for errors but I know a few people out there who'll happily point any out to me. Right, Randi? Hehe.
I have to say that it feels like Sunday already. Ok, technically it is Sunday now and has been for 13 minutes, but I mean it feels like I should be getting up in the morning for work. I think taking a Sunday course last semester really threw me off so now that I'm taking a Saturday class, I keep thinking it's Sunday. I'm soooooooo glad that I havetomorrow today to sleep in. I shall sleep until noon, I think.
