Playing hooky.

Grumpy Bear
I didn't get home until after 1 a.m. last night so by the time that I went to bed it was after 2. And as usual, I could not sleep for anything. So when my alarm went off this morning, I said 'screw it' and turned it off instead of getting up to go to class. I was way too tired and had a massive headache from lack of sleep. I figure one class missed won't be awful. I will email the professor to find out what I missed and stuff.

Friday night Ron and I went to PetSmart and picked up more fishies for our tank. Now we've got some really cool ones and they are so funny. I think we still need a couple more with maybe some bright coloring. But our tank is looking like a real aquarium now.

When we were coming back from PetSmart we stopped and picked up a pizza. By this point the rain was pouring down and it quickly turned into major thunderstorms! The lightning was constant and lit up the entire sky. It was freaky but cool. Sometime during the night, we lost power and so our alarms never went off in the morning. I somehow woke up around the time we were supposed to be at my mom's. Whoops! So we rushed to get ready and headed over to her place.

Atlantic City was great! We ate at a buffet (way too much food but so delicious!) and then gambled for awhile. In the end I was down $19.20. Ron was down $20.00. And get this... my mom won a $1000 jackpot! Plus she won a couple hundred dollars as well! So she was definitely the big winner! She gave me and Ron a hundred bucks to share. So we ended up coming home with $60 more than we went with. Not too shabby. I just want to know how my mom is so lucky EVERY time. There has never been a time when she has not come home ahead of the game! I'm jealous! lol But it was great. Ron found some Star Wars slots that he enjoyed and I was playing a few fun ones too. So we all had a good time.

We headed to my sister's from there and they had ordered pizza but I was way too full from the buffet earlier to eat anything. So we hung out there until it was time to go to the play. The play itself was so adorable! Amanda was so cute as one of the orphans! She even had a few speaking/singing lines. Awww... Her birthday was yesterday and she turned 12! I can't believe the little pipsqueak is twelve! Her father said to me, "Just think, in five years she'll be driving." Nooooooooooo. Say it ain't so?!? She can't be that old. She's supposed to stay a little peanut! LOL Oh well. We're all getting older I guess. But again, the play was so much fun! We hung around after for a bit to say hi to Amanda and tell her how much we loved the play. She showed me her little iPod that she got. I don't know if it's the nano or mini because I haven't a clue what the difference is. All I know is that it looked exactly like mine but miniaturized. LOL So whichever one that is, that's the one she got. hehe.

It was a long ride home. We did stop at a rest stop to get coffee and muffins and then we continued on. Once we got to my mom's, Ron and I still had a 45 minute ride ahead of us so we headed right out. It was a long day but it was a very good day! I had a blast!

Next week is Easter weekend and I plan on bumming around, doing nothing. haha

Tonight I have to write my Sociology paper for the week. I took two of the sociology tests on Friday night and so now I only have one more test to go. (Have to read the last 2 chapters first though). It's nice to see that class coming closer and closer to an end.
