Hello from purgatory and welcome to Monday. It's a double whammy
day for me. Even after only being here for a couple hours so far, my
neck is already hurting more than it was. I hate this room.

Our supervisor announced this morning that Joyce will be leaving our
department. She's accepted a job in auto claims. Yay for her, but boo
for me. She's one of the last few normal people. What will I do
without her?! Her last day with us isn't until February 23rd. I don't
know why so far out, but I'd be happy to keep her here longer than that.

I started reading Dead Silence by Brenda Novak last night.
Actually I almost started reading the 2nd book in this series because I
didn't realize the two books were part of a series. However, I noticed
before I started and grabbed the right one. Why oh why is it another
silly series? I think there's a third book too, or a third one coming
for this series. I could be wrong, but I'll keep my eye out. So far
this book is pretty darn good. (But I am only up to page 175 or so.
The book could go downhill in a blink, but I'm enjoying it.) It's a
suspense romance basically.

Ho hum.

"The Dresden Files" was pretty good last night. I wouldn't say it was
great, but it wasn't bad. I will definitely watch again next week
before placing final judgment on the show. I'm not sure I like the
actor they chose for the main dude. He's not bad, but he's also not
what I had pictured when I read the short story. Maybe he'll grow on
me. We'll see.

After all those weather warnings and alerts they put out last night, I'm
highly disappointed. We got diddly squat. No rain, no ice, no snow...
Nuttin'! How rude! I hear there's possible flurries tomorrow morning,
but I won't hold my breath.
