Why?

stupidity
I don't have any clue why I'm still up. I'm not tired. This is odd because I was exhausted all day and yet now that it is way past my bedtime, I'm not sleepy.

Ron got stuck working late again tonight and got home around midnight. He's supposed to have tomorrow off but he's going to have to go in and get them set up for an audit. I'm sure that'll be fun... not.

I'm happy! My iPod case arrived today and it is even nicer than I expected. It's black leather... or fake leather. And it fits so perfectly. The front can flip backwards and snap together so it makes a little stand. It's really nice! I wasn't sure if ordering on eBay would get me something cheap and ugly but this is perfect.

My B&N books arrived today too. It was like Christmas getting two packages in the mail today. I'm still waiting for a few items.

I posted my first assignment for Sociology tonight. It wasn't too hard. And I was looking over all the instructions for the class and discovered that the ten tests that we have can be taken at ANY time up until the last day of class. How funny is that? I can take them one at a time or wait until the end and take all of them in a row. I only get 30 minutes per test though so I probably want to take them a little closer to when I read the chapters instead of waiting until the end.

I can't believe Sunday starts my Geology course already. It's one thing to start the online course because it doesn't really disrupt my day to day routine... but the Sunday class... I have to go to WPU for it. At least parking should be pretty easy to find.

Ok, I'm going to try and get myself to bed. I didn't do much tonight at all other than homework. Oh wait, I did watch a few episodes of "That 70's Show" on FX and put up a bunch more books onto half.com. So it wasn't a completely wasted evening... for the most part.

Weekends go too fast.

Hellsing
Wow... it's Sunday evening already? How did that happen? This weekend went by way too quickly... and I really didn't do much at all. Time flies when you're not at work.

Friday night Ron and I didn't do much of anything. We watched a bunch of "That 70's Show" repeat episodes on FX. I don't know why we're both suddenly hooked on that show but we are. I played a bit on Pogo.com and got my badges for the week. Fun! hehe. Ron also spent a ton of time on the phone with his boss and workers at Taco Bell. His boss has decided that when Ron isn't working, the employees are to call Ron EVERY hour and keep him updated on the numbers for the day. Needless to say that is very annoying! I think it's getting to the point where Ron's going to quit before anyone bothers to fire him. Can't say that I blame him with all the crap that is going on. I just hope he finds another job first.

Saturday would have been a nice day to sleep in but once again the phone was constantly ringing with Taco Bell stuff. Grr. While Ron dealt with that, I relaxed and did a bit of reading. We eventually ended up going to Target to use the gift cards that my grandma had sent us for Christmas. He still had the one from his birthday too, so we had a nice little sum to use. I had wanted to use mine to get a case for my iPod but they had none for the regular iPods. They had tons for the minis but nothing that would fit the regular sized iPods. Grrr. We ended up getting other stuff instead. I'll have to keep my eye open for a funky case elsewhere.

When we got home from Target we did a bunch of cleaning around the house and then made steak burgers and fries for dinner. Yummy! We spent the evening watching home improvement shows because nothing else could be found worth watching.

Today Ron had to work so I've been home and very lazy. I did a couple loads of laundry and that's about the extent of the productive stuff I've done. I did manage to finish reading Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's Dark of the Sun. All in all I liked the book but this one took quite awhile for me to get really into it. It was a slow start but by the end of it I was hooked and saddened that it had to end.

The next book on my agenda to read is The Nymphos of Rocky Flats by Mario Acevedo. I had signed up on the Harper Collins Publishers website to join their "First Look" thing where you can get chosen to review books before they're released. So this is an advanced copy. Each month you can pick which books you'd be interested in reviewing and then they pick randomly (I think) a number of readers to get each book. And I don't think they could have picked a better book for my first review... it's a vampire story! How cool is that? I'm interested in reading it. It sounds interesting anyway. It arrived this weekend and so now I'm looking forward to starting it. I have never had an advanced copy of a book before! This is really cool.

Now I must find something to eat I think. I don't know what time Ron will be home and I'm getting hungry. I hope he isn't stuck at work until late. Guess I'll see when I see him.
