My 4th of July holiday was a dud in all ways. It was barely even worth thinking about. Ron and I didn't do much at all. We did go to a late lunch at the diner near Shop-Rite and then hit Home Depot and BJ's. We finally spent my graduation money and bought us a portable air conditioner. It was on sale at BJ's and so we had to have it. It was cheaper than the ones at Home Depot and also more powerful than the Home Depot ones too. So it was a good deal.

It took Ron ages to figure out how to get it set up, but once it was up, man that baby worked well! Of course yesterday wasn't all that warm and so the AC was not needed. We probably won't have any warm days now that we have the AC unit. haha.

But that was my day. Fun, eh? It was a wet and icky day too and so fireworks would not have been fun. I know that Parsippany ended up postponing theirs until Friday night because of the weather.

Ron's going to be closing almost every night from here until next month because one of the assistant managers is off to Costa Rica and the powers-that-be have transferred the other one. So now it is just Ron and the other main manager left to cover the shifts. Lovely. I'm peeved about this, let me tell you. However, Ron does have his birthday off on Sunday, so that's one good thing, but between now and when the gal gets back from CR, he'll be lucky if he gets one day off a week. And that'll be only if they can get someone in from another store to cover a day or even a few hours. Ah well. Guess my nights will be my own for awhile. Whatever shall I do with myself?

I think that my work has once again blocked my Optonline email access. *sniffles* I guess that's a hint that LJ will be going bye-bye soon too. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
