Like many people, I'm very disturbed about the lawsuit brought against Bath & Body Works by former employee Gina Uberti. Ms. Uberti, a Wiccan and an eight-year veteran with Bath & Body Works who worked in a management position, reports that she was subjected to verbal abuse and then fired by a newly hired supervisor for taking time off to observe Samhain in 2008.

This is the sort of incident that I can't ignore, given my history with the Pagan movement and my credentials. I'm taking a hard line. I did some research, and I'm mailing my letter of protest to the corporate offices of Bath & Body Works and their parent company, Limited Brands, Inc. The e-mail form on the Bath & Body Works website is unlikely to go anywhere--it is intended for customers using the website to order products. Snail mail has a lot more clout than e-mail.

Bath & Body Works LLC is a subsidiary of Limited Brands, Inc., based in Cleveland, Ohio. Limited Brands, Inc. also owns Victoria's Secret, White Barn Candle Company, C.O. Bigelow, Henri Bendel and La Senza Corporation.

I sent hard-copy letters on my business letterhead to both Bath & Body Works and Mr. Les. Wexner, CEO of Limited Brands, Inc.
