Too much fun!

Mii
Ow... my arm... my poor arm! I'm working muscles that I've never worked before! Gosh, I love that Wii! Last night Ron and I played and played and played! We only stopped because the power kept going out from the storms! Otherwise we probably wouldn't have gone to bed at all! hehe. We played pretty much everything, except the boxing game. Ron wasn't in the mood to try that one. But I tried it today and man oh man was I laughing at myself! I won, too!

When we first started playing last night, Ron wasn't too thrilled with any of it. He kept asking "Why did we buy this again?" By the end of the night though, he was having as much fun as I was. When we were playing tennis, I was laughing so hard I could hardly stand! And Rogue thinks that all our actions are for her, so she was jumping and running around trying to figure out what we were throwing. Hehe. It was a hoot and a half!

Today my arm is a wee bit sore! But that hasn't stopped me from playing! I did some more bowling today and the boxing game too. Now I'm just resting up for a bit before I play more. The Star Wars Lego game is fun! Ron always made fun of his brother because Jeff would talk about how cool that game is and Ron just kept thinking it was childish. Now we have it and know how truly fun it is for kids AND adults! Next we'll probably get the Indiana Jones Lego game. And Batman Lego is coming out next month. Weeee. Or should I say, Wiiiiii! ;-)

Tomorrow is my step-dad's birthday, so my mom is having a picnic at her house. Although with the rain it'll probably end up indoors. At least her house is big enough to fit a crowd of us. Not that Ron can go. He has to work. Bummer. I bought my step-dad a Patriots tie and a little Tom Brady figure. hehe. He kept telling my mom to tell us kids not to buy him anything and he wouldn't give ANY ideas of what he might like, so I went with the FUN Patriots stuff. Even if he never wears the tie, it's still amusing.

We had some really big storms roll through here last night. Our power went out a few times. Mostly it was out a minute or two before coming back on, but at one point it went out for a good ten minutes or so. It sure got dark in here awfully quick!

Ron's closing tonight of course, so now I can practice up on the Wii so that when I play him again, I'll kick his butt. hehe. We were pretty evenly matched in all the games. He'd win some and I'd win some. So it made it really fun.

I'm going to have to get up early tomorrow to head to my mom's. I'm not used to getting up in the morning. I've gotten used to staying up until 5 a.m. and then sleeping in. I'll have to try and go to bed earlier tonight. Or maybe I should just stay up all night long and that way I'm up and at 'em on time to head out by 11:00. That would also make me very tired tomorrow night so I could go to sleep at a reasonable hour and maybe try to work myself back onto a normal sleep schedule. With Ron's annoying work schedule though, I like to stay up until he gets home and that way we have a little time to chit-chat about the day and what not. I wish his job would give him better hours. I'm tired of him constantly closing lately. Plus I'm peeved that they rearranged his schedule without telling him so that he has to work tomorrow when he was originally scheduled to have the day off. I think his next day off is next Wednesday. What a pain. Oh he does get to open on Tuesday after closing on Monday. Isn't that lovely? Especially since Tuesday is his birthday. So nice of them to give him a close/open schedule so that he's exhausted on his birthday. I bought him a couple of Blu-Ray DVDs that are already wrapped and hidden so he can't snoop around to find his gift. Hee hee. I bought him "I Am Legend" and "The Last Sentinel". We haven't seen either one, so who knows if they're worth the money, but I used my free $50 Visa gift card from Boomertowne to buy them (plus a few other items) so it wasn't really spending money. Ron was funny the other day. He saw me reading "I Am Legend" and asked why I was reading it since I supposedly knew how much he wanted to see the movie. Of course I always prefer to read the book before seeing the movie, but I'd also heard the movie was a far cry from the book. So who knows. But at least I know that's one movie he wants to see.

When I was at Wal-Mart the other day, I picked up a few items that we needed and wandered around. I saw they had some denim capri pants on clearance for $7 so I picked up two pairs in my size. (Considering all my other capris have a tendency to fall off me now, so I needed new ones.) When I got to the register, they rang up at $3 each!! Man, if I would have known that, I would have grabbed more! Three bucks for denim capris! Wow. I just love a bargain!

I can't believe it's July 4th. Although being unemployed it really doesn't feel like a holiday. Seems like it's just any other day. I can't even go out and do anything though because everything's closed for the holiday. Bummer. Of course I don't really want to go out now that I have my Wii! Hehe. I have to keep an eye out and find the Wii Fit next.

Ok, my arm's rested up enough. Time to go play!

Hope everyone (well, everyone in the US anyway) has a very safe and happy 4th of July!
To all outside the US, have a wonderful weekend!

Can you play those online too? If I had one, could we play against each other?

I don't think the Wii has any way to play online against someone else. I think the PS3 does, but I don't think the Wii does. I wish it did because that would be awesome!

I'm glad you're having such a good time with it! :D Now I wanna go home and play mine!

It does have some online games and online features. If you hook up with someone else's you can send them messages and they can access your Mii characters. Like, all our characters show up on my in-law's machine when we play. I know at least the Smash Brothers Game you can play against someone online. We've played my brother and my in-laws online on that one!

THanks!

Oh how awesome. I didn't know about the online features. Guess I've been too into the games to figure out all the other stuff. Hehe. I've heard the Smash Brothers game is fun! I might have to get that just so I can play someone online! hehe

yeah, some of the games are online.. Mario Kart is online.. however unlike XBox360 (since I'm anti PS! LOL) you can't talk to the person. You get the other person's Wii code and when you put an online game in, if they are playing it, you can see them and play against them.. I learned this today by having this very conversation with Tim! LOL.. I'm pissed because we had the opportunity to have the Wii Fit the day it came out, but couldn't afford it, so passed.. now I want it really bad!!! Our shady connection has just resigned from his position, so I've given him the order of tracking one down for me! LOL

Ooh how cool! I really had no clue that some of the games were online as well! Now I'm doubly glad I bought it and will have to get some of the games that do go online. I don't know that I'd need to really talk to the other person while playing, but that's too bad that Wii doesn't have that option like the others.
That's too bad that you missed out on the Wii Fit the day it came out. My brother and his wife have one. According to them they're available all over down near their house in South Jersey. They said the Wii is everywhere too. Unlike up this way where every place is constantly sold out of both. I hope you get your Fit!
TOnight I did the Wii Sports Fitness Age thingy and boy was that sad! haha.

I have a feeling that I'll probably end up doing that too, but I keep hoping I'll see one in the stores.
