Insane
Yesterday was so warm outside! I think we were just a few degrees short of reaching 80! We never did get all those thunderstorms that the weathermen predicted. I'm glad of that! Ron and I had our taxes done in the early afternoon after having to wait over a half hour! I'm pissed at that. Our appointment was originally for 10:30 a.m. The night before I got a call verifying our appointment and then 10 minutes later they called back and asked me if I'd be willing to change my appointment until noon. I dragged my feet a bit because I really wanted it done and over with in the early hours, but finally I gave in. So we got to the office a few minutes before noon and were told that it would be just a minute. Wrong! It was like 38 minutes that we had to wait! And all we got out of it was $5 off the cost of having our taxes prepared. I don't mind waiting a little while, because life isn't always on a perfect schedule, but when YOU tell ME to change my appointment to a different time, you've already got one strike ahead of you and should be doing everything to make things better for me since I already did you a favor. Sheesh. Ah well. 'Tis all done now and we're getting a nice chunk of change back from federal and a wee tiny bit o' money back from the state. So I'm pleased with it.

After our taxes, Ron and I went to Sears Hardware, but didn't find what we were looking for and so we came home. We worked out in the yard trying to clear out the far back corner of our lot. It's been so overgrown since we first bought the house and we've had so many other things to do that it wasn't a priority. Ron took his saw and his chain saw and we went to work. I can't believe the difference that we made in just a few hours! It was so hot out there, but we accomplished quite a bit. We now need to buy a chipper/shredder so we can mulch up all the branches and tree stuff that we cleared out. That's what we'd tried to find at Sears, but the one by us didn't have any. We're going out in the morning to a place nearby that is supposed to have some. So we'll see.

Now that we're getting tax money back, Ron's got it in his head that he really wants to get a PlayStation 3. I can't deny it to him since I did tell him when I bought my camera that he could now buy his PS3 and not feel guilty about it. Haha. Actually he's so excited about it that even if I hadn't bought a camera back in January, I wouldn't have a problem with him buying one. Who knows? I might have fun with it too!

Today's been a weird day. It felt like a Monday even though I know it's a Sunday. I was outside with the dogs for quite awhile although it's quite cooler out today that it was yesterday. It's just this side of "brr." Ron said he heard on the radio that they're calling for snow tonight! Say what?!?! Should be funny to see. I kind of hope we do get a little snow.

I made cookies & cream pudding today. So that'll be our dessert tonight. I never realized how easy it is to make pudding. LMAO @ me. Who knew that all you needed to do is mix the pudding mix with milk and then put it in the fridge? I thought there was more to it than that. Silly me, eh? You can tell that I'm not a Suzie Homemaker. ;-)

I have to laugh at my dogs. Earlier today I was on YouTube and was watching the NKOTB performance on the American Music Awards from 2001. What amused me is that as it was playing, Rogue and Cheyenne ran over and jumped up onto the couch with me and started staring at the computer. Their heads were tilting this way and that and Cheyenne started to do her little hound-howl when Donnie started rapping. It was such a hoot! I then played the video for NLYG. The girls did NOT like that song. Both of them started barking and running around and even growled at the computer. I couldn't stop laughing! So funny. They are such goofs.

Ah well. I think I shall pop a pizza in the oven for dinner because Ron's sound asleep on the couch and I'm starting to get hungry. I think I can manage a frozen pizza. haha

Oooooh, I was thinking about ordering pizza for dinner tonight, but I don't know if I want to spend any more money today. I'll probably end up boiling some noodles instead. *lol*

Well I didn't end up making the pizza, but I microwaved this really awesome chinese food meal that we got at BJ's the other day. It is soooo yummy! It has the chicken and sauce with carrots and broccoli and rice all in one big container. So good!
