Same ol' stuff going on here. Nothing new to discuss and yet I find myself writing an LJ entry anyway. Haha. No news on the job hunt front. I haven't applied for any new ones since the last one I mentioned. I keep looking, but find nothing. I keep glancing at Minnesota and North Carolina jobs and even those seem to be limited. I think I'm just not ready to go back to work yet. hehe. I made the mistake of requesting "more information" from a college about their Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences and by that I wanted them to MAIL me stuff. Now they keep calling me and leaving messages. Grr. Just mail me a package of documents to look through and I'll call when I'm ready! Sheesh. Well, maybe tomorrow I'll call back and see what they have to say. It never hurts to get info.
My severance hasn't appeared yet. Nor has my unused vacation pay. Grr. I'd like to have my money thank-you-very-much! I have to call on Wednesday for the unemployment claim. Then maybe I'll get some money from them at least. Not that I need much cash right now since I don't go anywhere or do anything. haha. But that's because I don't have money. I ordered some pretty fairy seat covers from Amazon.com for my Neon. I had spilled a few Junior Mints on my driver's seat one summer day and they melted in a bit. I had tried to clean it, but there's only so much you can do against chocolate. So I figured the seat covers would look neat in the car anyway. They were pretty cheap too. Last week I ordered something from Silver Jewelry Club but now I can't recall if it was earrings, a ring or what. Haha. They have a special going on where if you enter the code you get a dollar off and so you only pay $4.99 per item instead of $5.99. Not too shabby. I wish it would get here so I could recall what I ordered. Hehe.
I had a nice mail day today. 3 books from PaperbackSwap, a magazine, an Easter card and my $50 visa card from Boomertowne. Woo hoo! Gotta love that! Now I really want to go shopping! I have enough points on Netwinner to request another $25 master card too! But I want to wait until I get my other one and then just have it added to the one card instead of getting a bunch of cards. Maybe by that point I'll have enough to add fifty bucks to it. The other day I got my $25 Borders gift card from Gather. And I have a $10 B&N Gift card in my wallet too from my Wachovia card. I need to request the $25 B&N card from MyPoints so I can add it to the ten dollar one and really make out! I think I may actually go to a B&N to spend them this time around. Or maybe not. We'll see.
I now have 120 books on my TBR shelf here in the living room. It's getting obnoxious, even *I* must admit that. It's going to take me a hundred years to read them all! Hehe. I think I have 3 more books on their way to me from PBS and of course those 6 books from the book club that I recently rejoined. Eeek. I must say that I think I may have *gasp* too many books! haha. I loaned my mom a couple books the other day and she asked if I wanted them back when she was done. I almost said "yes!" but she said that she has been sending books to my grandma and I told her that if she thought grandma would enjoy them, to go ahead and send them with her next box. My grandma shares with all the others in the building and it sounds like they all get so excited when the books come in. So I feel good at giving them to her. I just don't think she'd enjoy any of my vampire tales though. haha.
Ron got home about 10 minutes ago and he's passed out on the couch. Lazy bum! haha. Can't blame him. He had to be AT work at 6 a.m. this morning. Yucko!
I want to try and talk him into going to the diner for dinner tonight to celebrate St. P's day. He's probably too tired to want to go, but eh... maybe I can convince him. We'll see.

I'm sorry that you hate your job. :( It really stinks to be stuck in a position that you get no joy from.
Enjoy your books!
*hugs*
Chris
I do agree that one should always have more books, but I think I've taken it to an extreme. hehe.
